HyperCite

AI research summarization and collaboration hub with verifiable, source-anchored citations.

HyperCite is a collaborative research platform for organizing papers, asking grounded questions across a literature corpus, and tracing AI-generated claims back to their exact sources.

Team HyperCite was named Champion at the BRACU CSE471 System Analysis and Design Project Showcase for Fall 2025. The final project demonstration took place on 7 May 2026 after the course’s 120+ projects had been evaluated.

Highlights

  • Built a hybrid retrieval-augmented generation pipeline combining MongoDB Atlas vector search with lexical fallback.
  • Diversified retrieved chunks across papers to ground answers in a broader literature corpus.
  • Anchored citations to PDF excerpts using page-level character offsets, allowing users to navigate from a generated claim to its source.
  • Added real-time collaborative annotation through Liveblocks.

Technologies

React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Supabase, and Liveblocks.
